Living in Ravello we are definitely biased but this little pearl of the Amalfi Coast is the most sought after for elegant and refined weddings. Perched on a peak above the coast this town is a slice of heaven with stunning views that  attract romantic lovers from around the world.the town is accessible via a tight and narrow road the seems to insulate it from modern Italy.Life here is slow and relaxing following the rhythms typical of life in the mountains.

The town

Ravello has been the favourite destination many famous artists and writers. Here Richard Wagner found the inspiration for the plotand libretto of his opera “Parsifal”. Greta Garbo stayed here in secret with musician Leopold Stokowski.

The town is an important historical and cultural centre and is the venue for the world famous Ravello Music Festival, held annuallly in the gardens of Villa Rufolo. Easily accessible from the main square it is the perfect place to soak up the calm and peace that is Ravello. It is a delicious backdrop for bridal couples.

We would love to introduce you each one of these amazing locations, starting with the world renowned: Villa Cimbrone

The Villa Cimbrone

The Villa Cimbrone is situated just ten minutes from the main square and is blessed with some spectacular views. The gardens are famous globally. On entering the main portal of the villa one enters a different world with its Roman statues along the Belvedere Terrace.

The Villa

The main building dates back to the 12th century and it is believed to have been built on the site of a Roman villa. In the early 1900’s it was the private residence of an English lord but was subsequently sold to the present owners who converted it into a luxury hotel that has hosted royalty, notable celebrities and artists.

The perfect setting for your wedding ceremony, dinner and night party

Parts of the gardens can be used for Catholic, Protestant and Jewish weddings and symbolic ceremonies are also available. There are a number of possible options for receptions. Cocktails can be taken near the entrance or on the Belvedere Terrace followed by a dinner al fresco surrounded by the beauty of the gatdens or in the charming rooms of the “crypt” which is also used for after dinner parties and dances.
