Positano…..the “Divine” destination.

Whether you have actually visited the Amalfi Coast, or have only heard tales of its charms, this “divine” destination has probably captured your imagination more than once. You need only see one or two images of the rocky coastline, hidden crystalline beaches and quaint tile-floor-trimmed villas to know your travel list just got crowned, which also seems to be the case in point for Chris & Perry’s Positano wedding at Villa San Giacomo.  Perry and Chris were no strangers to the beauty of the Coast,  as they had already spent a glorious vacay in Positano at La Sireneuse. However, Villa San Giacomo, this massive 18th-century villa perched on Positano’s highest point, with its pink facade, intricately tiled floors, patterned furniture, frescoed walls, and sweeping terrace views, seemed perfect for the elegant grooms for its refinement and seclusion. With summer on the horizon, they decided to make their black tie wedding dreams a reality.  Carla from Weddings Italy created a magnificent fete for the chic grooms who arrived in Positano with 32 guests, their closest and dearest. Chris and Perry walked down the aisle in their stunning black tuxedos and vow to love each other for life.The day of the wedding the terrace of Villa San Giacomo got decked out with florals and a crisp secular ceremony was set with a magnificent view of Positano below. The grooms got prepped together and walked out the main suite hand in hand embraced by their friends and families all of them happy and incredibly emotional. During cocktail hour and as the dinner was being set, an on-site caricaturist offered each guest their Italian coast style portrait while a string quartet entertained everyone and champagne was being served. Soon after the heart-warming ceremony dinner was served on the arched balcony under a dome soaked in wisteria, lush greenery, and white blooms, keeping everything romantic and utterly chic, while myriads of fairy lights and candles spread around the dining area created a magical ambiance for everyone involved.  It wasn’t only the speeches, the dinner laughs, the truly amazing atmosphere during the cutting of the cake that had us, but this celebration had so much more. It was the family ties, the genuine essence of love and of course the epic style that made it impossible to want to leave. Add dancing till the wee hours to the mix and there you have it: a picture Amalfi Coast wedding filled with everything we love!
