Pre-nuptial parties can be oh-so-fabulous at the ever so buzzing Amalfi Coast.

When Arla and Art set off to tie the knot at Villa Cimbrone last June, they knew they just had to take in every inch of pretty around them, and enjoy their destination wedding to the fullest. Hence, a glamorous Amalfi-style wedding-welcome celebration at the Hotel Santa Caterina to make their guests feel at home and set them in the mood for the big day. Early on the day I whisked my beautiful couple for a walk in the gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, and help them ease into their big day. Arla whose charm is reminiscent of an Old-Hollywood elegante, went for a golden pleated gown, red lips and statement earrings bringing forth the eternal style of a silver screen goddess. We took our time walking across a huge playground of palms, magnificently spreading umbrella pines, ivy-clad walls, and lush gardens guarded by statues. Romance in the Villa Cimbrone is quite inevitable they say and looking at them you will definitely agree.Early on the day I whisked my beautiful couple for a walk in the gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, and help them ease into their big day. Meanwhile, in Amalfi, about 4 miles further,  the 19th-century liberty-style villa that is Hotel Santa Caterina was getting all prepped up to welcome Arla and Art’s guests. The couple fell in love with the luscious bougainvillea and lovingly cultivated olive groves and fruit orchards surrounding the hotel. As their wish was for an Amalfi-style celebration, Laura, from Exclusive Italy Weddings together with Armando from Malafronte Fiori created a lovely fete strewn with mauve bougainvilleas and lemons at the Al Mare restaurant, keeping things fresh and wonderfully scented. The couple’s guests enjoyed cocktails at the garden terrazza -which if you are an avid collector of vintage postcards you have already spotted- serenaded by classic Italian music and swayed by the warm breeze. As for dinner? After a wooden-oven-baked pizza, delicious antipasti and grilled treat feast it was time for warm welcome speeches and dancing under the starry skies. We certainly went home with a smile and in the perfect mood for the next day’s.
