Nestled in its own private cove on the Amalfi coast sits Hotel Santa Caterina. The venue’s lemon trees shaded terraces, uninterrupted views of crystal-clear ocean and its own private beach club provided the oasis Intaek and Ivy wanted for their Ravello Wedding day. Here at Gianni Di Natale Photographers we knew this wedding was going to be extraordinary. Keep scrolling to immerse yourself in Intaek and Ivy’s Ravello wedding day inspiration…
The morning of their Ravello wedding the sunlight danced across the ocean waves gently lapping against Hotel Santa Caterina‘s private jetty. There was an air of excitement in the bridal suite as Ivy’s bridesmaids helped their friend as she stepped into her Jenny Yoo wedding dress. The white silk gown, with a mermaid silhouette and plunging neckline, flowed to a long train embellished with hundreds of white buttons perfectly placed along its length exuding sophistication. Her hair, held back by a veil, revealed layers of hair beautifully twisted together and delicate bridal makeup by the expert team at Alessandro Mancino.
I captured the Groom in an impeccably tailored black tux, his polished look complete with a crisp black bow tie, Intaek looked calm as he leaned casually against the bar and enjoyed a drink surrounded by his groomsman.
Hotel Santa Caterina’s garden terrace buzzed with activity as La Calla checked every detail of their wedding day was perfect. The impressive terrace was embellished by Armando Malafronte’s magnificent floral artistry. White rose petals surrounded Ivy as she glided down the aisle, meeting her future husband between two impressive floral urns overflowing with immense blush and white roses. Overhead the trees were filled with trails of orchid petals suspended above them. I captured the sublime scene framing the couple perfectly whilst allowing the bright blues of the Amalfi coastline to harmonise effortlessly as they said their vows. Rapturous applause rang out as the couple headed back up the aisle showered in thousands of fluttering white rose petals.
As the guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn, me and the newlyweds stole away for some private moments together making the most of the backdrops on offer at Hotel Santa Caterina. Pictured against the never-ending aqua ocean, the Italian coastline on the edge of the frame was clinging to the last of the Amalfi Coast’s golden rays of sunshine. A picture-perfect moment that will allow them to relive this slice of heaven time and time again.
Next, I was lucky enough to capture Intaek and Ivy as they made their way up to another of Hotel Santa Caterina’s terraces carved into the cliffs, a long banquet table was set with crisp white linen, classic crystal place settings, intoxicating floral blush bowls in full bloom and hundreds of floating tealights suspended in glass orbs, filled the space with dreamy cascading candlelight. Delighted by their luxury tablescape they invited their loved ones to dine with them. Before sharing heartfelt speeches, the now jet-black night sky created perfect privacy and allowed the atmosphere of love to envelop the couple and their friends.
After a luxurious dinner, Intaek and Ivy quickly changed the pace. Ivy let her hair down, her loose curls brushing her shoulders as Intaek slid into a white tux jacket ready to delight guests with a triad of cheerful moments. Kicking off the party they poured champagne with carefree abandon cascading down their champagne tower, before twirling in their first dance and finally cutting the cake. A wall of fireworks ignited behind them as they shared a kiss. The bright lights were brought to a crescendo by the Wedding Dee Jay’s sensational music injecting the night with an infectious energy. I captured the relaxed and jubilant guests’ smiles as they danced long into the night under the Amalfi Coast’s star-encrusted night sky.
