Romantic and in love with Italy, Cara and Dave chose the beauty of the Amalfi coast in early autumn for an elegant destination wedding in Positano.

The charm of a villa on the Amalfi Coast for a romantic destination wedding in Positano

Positano attracts tourists and dreamers from every corner of the world. Its charm, its beauty, its uniqueness, make it one of the most sought after locations when considering a destination wedding in the South of Italy.

It boasts several prestigious locations, suitable for events to take place with great style and elegance.

Moving away from the centre, Positano has villas with a unique character where the styling preserves the peculiar charm of the Amalfi Coast, from ceramic floors to warm peach walls, panoramic terraces overlooking the sea, interiors that recall the impeccable style of “La Dolce Vita”, that elegance mixed with romanticism that make these places unique in the world.

Villa San Giacomo is certainly among these locations and it is here that Cara and Dave have chosen to bring together their loved ones for an unforgettable destination wedding in Positano.

Exploring the rooms and environments of this Villa is like being suspended in time where one can breathe the charm of the past in a villa built in 1741, then restored, but still offering breathtaking views and the luxury of privacy, on the highest point in Positano.

The shades of gold, peach and light pink for this super elegant wedding in Positano

We were inspired by the shades of gold, light pink and peach that were able to highlight the warm but delicate hues of Villa San Giacomo, dominated by the pink peach of the walls and the terracotta, the bright green of the luxuriant vegetation and the white flowers.

The wedding stationery created by The Distillery was in delicate watercolours which reflected the movement of the waves and the sea gently lapping the sand.

An elegant, traditional and refined style

Cara and Dave are elegance and refinement personified. This was fully reflected in the styling of the entire event stage-managed by The Amalfi Experience.

Dave wore an elegant three-piece suit designed by Tom Ford, while Cara opted for the “Ivy” dress from the The One collection by Moira Hughes Couture, which combines a relaxed look with a distinct elegance.

The long corset, the deep illusion neckline on the back, the soft falling sleeves reaching the petal lace that embellishes the bodice, elegantly sculpted the silhouette of Cara, making it seductive and relaxed at the same time.

To complete the look she wore traditional beige stiletto sandals, with a thin ankle strap, to give the whole effect a sleek and elegant look.

The bridesmaids, dresses were in a delicate shade of light pink from White collection designed by Vera Wang.

The ceremony took place on the panoramic terrace of Villa San Giacomo, overlooking the sea with a spectacular view of Positano.

For dinner, we moved to the main terrace, where a long imperial table had been set up, decorated with low flower arrangements in shades of white, peach and pastel pink with gold candle holders, beautifully designed by Armando Malafronte.
