Ca’ P’A – Casa Privata has a very special romantic charm that visitors can feel in every nook and cranny of this wonderful location. It is an enchanting place, suspended between the rocks overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Its wonderful gardens play a fundamental role, because they define in a particular way the architecture of the villa itself, giving it a mysterious, fascinating and incredibly romantic feel. Each room has its own distinct personality reflected in the choice of furniture.
Fiona and Tobia chose Praiano the location of this wonderful villa to be the scene for their wedding and the celebrations to follow.
The religious ceremony was celebrated at the beautiful parish church of San Gennaro, , the only example of Baroque architecture on the Amalfi Coast, situated in the centre of Praiano. The church was built on the site of another church also dedicated to the memory of San Gennaro The building rises between the roofs of the other buildings on the coast with its dome covered in majolica tiles that catch the eye from any angle. Also inside, it has been embellished with tiled terracotta floors with drawings depicting fruits, flowers and leaves on a white background.
From the Church of San Gennaro, after a short photographic stop in the intimate Piazzetta of Praiano, descending 120 steps, we reached “Casa Privata” where we enjoyed walking along the various paths of the villa which, between gardens of olive trees, fountains and succulent plants, lead down to the sea. The noise of the waves against the rocks, the wonderful light of a sunset in July, were framed by the last shots of Fiona and Tobia together, before rejoining the rest of the guests for dinner on one of the terraces of the villa.
