Praiano, the ancient silk-production hub.

Formerly a major silk-production hub, Praiano was a favorite of the Amalfi doges (dukes), who made it their summer residence. Today, its white-washed houses pepper the verdant ridge of Monte Sant'Angelo as it slopes towards Capo Sottile. It was this stunning view that had my couple, Louise & Simon fall in love and decide to have their Casa Privata Praiano wedding soaked in garden pretty. This Scottish-Australian affair in Casa Privata had its beginning a year before the couple decided to tie the knot here. The two got engaged while spending the holidays at the luxurious villa, corseted by lush gardens, orchards, and manicured lawns. The sense of intimacy and calming ambiance prevailing had them convinced this should be the place to exchange their vows. With milky light cascading down the terrace Louise began her preparations assisted by her Ted Baker attired bridesmaids, and as Rosa from Casa Privata set the scene for the couple's Praiano I do's we enjoyed some fine portraiture among the gardens with the parties.  Perched on the cliffs that plunge down to the always-sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea an alfresco reception ensued, soaked in the pretty of garden blooms, finely curated tablescapes and a sea of fairy lights that had my bride and groom's romance soar. Now that's a fine collection of memories right there!
