Whether you feel closer to the rustic and bucolic style of its villages or the idyllic beaches overlooking the sea, you’ll be sure to have an enchanting wedding celebration and a memorable vacation with friends and family.

Intimate, Historic, and Grand Wedding Venues

Although Italy provides numerous wedding venues, the region of Tuscany provides a remarkably wide range of locations. Frame your ceremony in a luxurious villa or in one of the magnificent “Relais” scattered among the Tuscan hills or between the striking walls of a medieval castle.

Borro, an Estate in the Heart of Tuscany

Among these, the first worthy of mention is Borro. The entire estate covers about 700 hectares of land in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence, Siena, and Cortona. This relais, currently owned by Ferruccio Ferragamo who has taken care of the complex renovations to preserve the original spirit of the plac, represents the perfect combination of past, present, and future.

The first written account of the castle dates back to 1254, when a Milanese nobleman acquired the property from the Mascagni family. It wasn’t until the sixteenth century that – under the patronage of Alessandro del Borro – the entire estate began to expand and transform itself, taking on the spectacular appearance we know today.

Castle of Vincigliata, an Intimate, Historic Castle

If you are looking for a more intimate location, but equally fascinating piece of history, you can opt for the enchanting Castle of Vincigliata, steeped in legend. The story has it that the spirit of Donna Bianca wanders around the walls of the castle. Donna Bianca was a beautiful woman, who died of heartbreak when her future husband was killed in front of her on their wedding day. Since then, Donna Bianca is said to be the protector of every love story, especially the “impossible”.

Borgo Casa Bianca, a Renovated Manor House, perfect for a wedding in Tuscany

One of the most beautiful villages where we have had the good fortune to visit is Borgo Casa Bianca, a truly magical place whose main building dates back to the 13th century with spectacular views of Monte Amiata. Located near Siena, on the hills that divide the Val di Chiana from the Crete Senesi, this building was originally a rural farm. Subsequently renovated, the Borgo Casabianca has retained all its former glory, with the elegant manor house, the gardens and the streets that surround it.

From the terraces of this charming village, you can enjoy all the magic of breathtaking sunsets, get lost in the contemplation of the warm, golden light of the sunset that caresses the hills – a sight difficult to believe in until you have seen it.
