For writer Henry James, the very spelling the name Venice was a great pleasure. In his preface of the Italian Hours he writes that "for the true Venice-lover, Venice is always in order". As for the city's sense of perennial .. "it is better than any novelty"

As a Venice wedding photographer I find his words resounding each time I visit La Serenissima. When I get to peregrinate the city of canals something surprising follows, a pleasant confirmation if you like, that no matter what the season, the occasion or the time of day, there isn't no other place like it.

Scroll down to discover some truly inspiring Venice luxury wedding photographs captured earlier this summer when a fine roster of creatives, and yours truly documented Venice's elusive beauty in all its forms.

Much of Venice's charm rests in the details. One moment you may be floating in a gondola, the next hanging over a balcony, sipping your coffee at Florian's, perusing the old bookstores and puppeteer workshops, or simply meandering the streets that lead to Piazza San Marco, crossing the Rialto Bridge and the stylish Dorsoduro, with its prestigious art museums and lively squares. The pleasure of the matter? The fine emotions these places minister.

Skirted by the Grand Canal the iconic St. Regis Venice became our vantage point and romantic perch for the day; Quintessentially urban, exclusive, and artfully hued, its stylish and pleasantly sumptuous Grand Canal view suite, along with the hotel's impeccably designed interiorsl turned into our perfect canvas for an avant-garde couple of destination wedding lovers who enjoy finer things in life.

Here with all the hallmarks of Venice at their feet these two globetrotters choose to host their wedding ceremony and reception. Drawing from the skyline and the city hues, a current taste and a neutral, soothing palette evolves into a richly adorned floral arch, an elegant dinner with a restful cityscape sights, a cake display, and a privileged private party locale.

Celebrating at St. Regis feels timeless, slicing the lunar green waters of the lagoon on board a luxury vessel even more so; Their hands dabble in the sea, their emotions channel themselves through an eternal conversazione with Venice's sentimental pace. But the best thing of all is that they simply choose to stay on, touched, lingering and wishing to return.
