Nothing can truly prepare you for the wonders of the South Italian shores. With its ever-romantic tapestry of pastel houses, boat-speckled harbors, cafe-lined marinas, and bougainvillea-draped streets, the entire region of Campania, from the bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast to the most charming of Flegrean islands, will warm your soul and land you with more than a handful magical wedding locations to make you want to jet-set over our parts asap. Today’s destination wedding comes with two unique locations: Procida – a true Mediterranean wonder and the Capital of Culture for 2022, that has served as the set of The Talented Mr. Ripley and Il Postino – and Nabilah Beach Resort – a paradise perfected on the Neapolitan coast. Read on to find out why you should not necessarily be making a beeline for Italy’s most famous cities to say I do, and get inspired for a modern Italy wedding with a fashionable twist.

If you already have your hearts set on exchanging your vows in Italy, then chances are you also know that it’s never just a location, simply a building, only a boat, or merely a an icon, but a display of feeling that makes a destination wedding at the Amalfi Coast so utterly compelling and pleasurable. Peaceful, even in high season, same as it was back in the 50ies, soaked in soul-warming light Procida’s technicolour marinas became the canvas for our couple’s portrait session. From the alleyways of Terra Murata, to the dome of the 17th-century Santa Maria delle Grazie gleaming in the distance, the tumble of fishing nets, and scenic clear waters lined with fishing boats, our lovers chill and romance across the island’s 2 square miles, basking in its languid rhythym.

Our next stop? Nabilah – home to fin whale and dolphin alcoves, famed for its serenity and natural beauty ever since Roman nobility pootled its verdant and sandy terrain. The historical location, now a stomping ground for those who adore barefoot luxury, features two swimming pools, an exclusive beach, and a premium bar and became the venue for our modern bride and groom’s beach wedding reception. Colorful accents melded with exotic looking blooms, rattan furnishings sided with corals, sea twigs, and flute candles to create an uber-romantic picnic table scene right off the waterfront. On the wooden deck of the pool our couple sets the lounge scene for their cocktail, while the powder soft sands call for strolls unshod and sunset views surrounded by lanterns. This wedding’s fashion carries an air of laissez-apprécier. Classic Italian cotton tailoring for him nothing too presumptious, for her its all about bold makeup, statement jewelry, a wet look and modern lace. Soon as their wedding party is done a cruise across the Tyrrhenian sea begins, and their romance continues with the lights of the bay rising up into the hills like the illuminations on some cosmic ocean liner.
