When a couple decide to celebrate their wedding at the Caruso Hotel, one of the most elegant and refined locations on the Amalfi Coast, they certainly have a high-class event in mind.

The hotel is located at the highest point of Ravello and enjoys a view that has the merit of having healed Princess Sissi and fascinated numerous stars, from Greta Garbo to Jacquie Kennedy.

So it was for the marriage of Alicia and Arcadi, who were married on May 13th  at the Caruso, wrapped in the wonderful atmosphere that you breathe in Ravello in Spring.

The elegance of a wedding at the Caruso Hotel

With its Mediterranean gardens in bloom, the expanses of vines and bougainvillea, the citrus groves, the rose gardens and an infinity pool among the most panoramic in the world, the Hotel Caruso is one of the most elegant and romantic locations on the entire Amalfi Coast.

The view from this hotel’s terraces is among the most beautiful in the area. You can  admire the indescribable spectacle of the sea that breaks below the cliffs, the terraces of lemon groves, the Arab-inspired domes of the churches  that emerge between the mountains and Amalfi with capri in the background. It is no coincidence that the noble families  chose to take refuge in Ravello, this aristocratic town that dominates the Amalfi Coast.

Before being one of the most elegant hotels on the Amalfi coast, the hotel was home to the D’Afflitto family becoming a hotel at the end of the nineteenth century by Pantalone Caruso, from which it took its name.

Following the last restoration in 2005, this hotel has recovered most of the original elements, from the entrance door, once access to the church of Sant’Eustachio, to the frescoes that embellish the ceilings , to the marble imported from the East and covering the restaurant and the very elegant bar.

The elegant outfits of Alicia and Arcady

For a seductive and romantic look, Alicia chose the Vicenta dress from the Pronovias PE 2018 collection.

A mermaid-style wedding dress, wrapped in crepe and embellished with nude-coloured details. The bodice  in  rebrodè lace  for a nude effect.

Finally, a small crêpe belt, to emphasise  Alicia’s harmonious lines.

Alicia  wore an elegant transparent ankle boot in delicate tulle and with embroidered pearls by BellaBelle, from the Enchanted collection with the Joy Proctor pen, and therefore the result of collaboration with one of the most appreciated and renowned event designers in the world.

Arcadi chose the Hugo Boss collection with a  dark blue suit with silk trim and matching bow tie.

The wedding at the Hotel Caruso by Alicia and Arcady was underpinned by the elegant notes of blue and white, interspersed with the soft peach and light violet notes of the Armando Malafronte roses.

For the bouquet he used white anemones, English roses, peonies and viburnum, also present in the Kuppah floral adornment.

Dinner was held in the Caruso, surrounded by green plants and overlooking one of the most evocative panoramas of Ravello.

The tables were set up in a very sober and at the same time elegant and refined manner.

The white of the mise en place was enlivened by floral compositions of English rose, hydrangeas and peonies, distributed in marvelous elegant gold vases interspersed with tall gold candelabras.

The evocative Jewish ceremony in the Caruso gardens and the romantic outdoor dinner

Alicia and Arcadi wanted to pay homage to  the beauty of the Caruso hotel and therefore wanted this location to be the centerpiece for this event, from preparation to ceremony to dinner.
After using the narrow streets and architecture of Ravello for some shots of the couple, we went back to the Caruso, for the wedding ceremony.

Of Jewish origins, Alicia and Arcadi  joined in marriage following the always evocative Jewish ritual that took place as tradition under the Jewish Kippah, set up in the panoramic garden, overlooking the sea.

Both the aperitif and the dinner were served in the adjacent gardens amongst the olive trees. The darkening sky set against the warm candlelight illuminated the smiles of the guests.
