Many are poets, writers, arstists, who have praised the infinite beauty of the island of Capri. One could only fall in love with hearing about it. And yet, the only real way to be able to know its charm and magic is by visiting it. Camilla and Pierluca know this very well. They have chosen the evocative setting of the Fraglioni, the characteristic narrow streets that branch off from the central Piazzetta along the whole perimeter of the island, the wild nature of the cliff that slopes down into the sea, the Gardens of Augustus, the still tangible signs of a noble history and ancient for a romantic, classic Capri wedding.

The iconic Quisisana grand hotel for a romantic wedding in Capri

Anyone who has visited Capri could not fail to come across the prestigious entrance of this historic hotel, just a few steps from the central Piazzetta.

Since its opening in 1845, the Grand Hotel Quisisana has hosted politicians, poets, film and music stars, who have found an oasis of tranquility in a luxurious and classy environment. Crossing the threshold, you can find yourself in large halls, with showy crystal chandeliers, polished marble floors, mirrors framed in gold and bronze statues.

Quisisana and surroundings

Walking from the central square to the street of the most prestigious boutiques of Capri, you reach the Quisisana which, therefore, also occupies a strategic and convenient location for a wedding on Capri. A few steps from the hotel are in fact the main square, with the wonderful church of Santo Stefano and on the opposite side the small road that leads to the famous Gardens of Augustus.

In one of the equally elegant suites of this grand hotel, Camilla embarked on her exciting journey towards the moment when she uttered her “Yes, I want it”.

Surrounded by her bridesmaids in blue dress, Camilla wore her wonderful wedding dress, Lillian, from the spring 2018 collection by Oscar De La Renta. Wide skirt in ivory-colored tulle, and sleeveless bodice with floral embroidery and hand-cut organza leaves. The floral pattern of the dress was also used in Acquazzurra sandals with soft laces and applied flowers.

Pierluca was instead supported in preparation by his father and witnesses, and then on foot, on the arm of a very elegant mother, the Church of Santo Stefano where the ritual would take place.

Wearing her dress, along with the bridesmaids, Camilla left the suite to reach the Church where Pierluca and the guests were waiting for her.

Once the ceremony ended, we headed together with the young spouses to the Gardens of Augustus, a few steps from the Quisisana, where one of the most beautiful panoramic points of the island is to be found, from which to enjoy the spectacle of the faraglioni. We naturally took advantage of the suggestive corners along our route to steal some shots.

We then reached the guests at the Quisisana again.

Here, in the gardens surrounding the pool, refreshments were taken followed by a romantic dinner outdoors.
