One of our favourite parts of capturing our wonderful couples love stories here at Gianni Di Natale Photographers, is the opportunity we have to travel to the most beautiful parts of Italy and beyond. We were thrilled when Thordis and Robert asked us to be part of their big day and head over to Capri, a charming island brimming with natural beauty and panoramic sea views. Join us as we relive the magical details of this Capri wedding… 

The wedding day arrived, and as the sun rose over this majestical island, I made my way over to see Thordis as she began getting ready for her big day. The room was filled with vibrant energy as the bride was surrounded by her closest loved ones. Stepping into her Oscar De Le Renta gown with an elegant a-line fit detailed with intricate floral details, Thordis was a vision. The look was complemented with a gorgeous up-do that was accompanied by a fine silk veil that softly cascaded down her back.  The bride’s look was flawless and finished with glowy make up by the talented Beauty Livery.  The bridesmaids look utterly wonderful in powder blue dresses, all with slight variations, a lovely personal touch to the day.

As I made my way to the ceremony, I caught up with Robert to capture a few shots before he said his ‘I do’s’.  Wearing an all-white tuxedo by Brioni, the groom was the image of sophistication. 

The couple chose to have their ceremony at Lido Del Faro, nestled in the jagged coastline of Capri, it gave the most sensational backdrop to their forever moment. The sun shimmered off the ocean as Thordis made her way down the aisle to Robert. Flowers in Capri had curated the most beautiful florals, with ivory blooms and green foliage embellishing the venue. The couple exchanged romance filled vows which bought happy tears to all their guests’ eyes and as they had their first kiss under the Amalfi Coast sunset, there was an eruption of joy.  

The newlyweds and their guests made their way to Faro Di Punta Carena for the drink’s reception. I took this moment to capture a few shots of Thordis and Robert as they had a precious moment together, just the two of them, for now until forever – where infinity feels like home. 

The party was in full swing at the reception, with champagne popping and the divine canapes being served. I took the time to capture the tablescapes as they were exquisite, Capri Wedding had planned every detail to perfection.  Golden yellows and ocean blues adorned the set-up, giving a traditional Amalfi Coast feel. The couple and their guests chatted excitedly as they were served delectable dishes of classic cuisine.

As the night drew in and the stars twinkled above this wonderful celebration, touching speeches were made, which created a ripple of emotion across the party.  Thordis and Robert mingled with their guests, reminiscing about what a perfect day it had been for them, surrounded by their favourite people as they told their love story.
