Nestled in the jagged rocks of the Amalfi Coast is Ravello, a place that spoils us with breathtaking views across the ocean, wonderful gardens immersed with blooms and quaint cobblestone streets. It’s no wonder that here at Gianni Di Natale Phototopographers, it’s one of our favourite places to tell the tale of love. Cristina and James were equally charmed by Ravello and chose to tie the knot at Belmond Caruso. We invite you to join us as we take a look back at this extraordinary celebration…
As the morning of the wedding arrived, the Amalfi weather did not disappoint. Cristina and James woke to glorious sunshine, ready to celebrate their forever moment. I captured the bride, surrounded by her closest loved ones, get ready for a day that would be filled with happy tears and loving smiles, but not before popping the champagne and toasting to soul mates. Relaxing in their silk dressing gowns, the bridal party were chatting excitedly as the Beauty Livery made the final touches to their make-up. Cristina carefully stepped into a fit and flare lace gown that was complemented with delicate straps. She wore pearl drop earrings and finished the look with loose curls that fell perfectly over her shoulders. Cristina looked flawless, and it was a delight to see how happy she was.
James and the grooms party looked equally dashing, dressed in a black tux, complimented with a bow tie. I headed over to take a few shots and was fortunate enough to use the stunning grounds of Belmond Caruso to capture these images. I could feel the lively energy from James as he was moments from saying ‘I do’.
The couples’ church ceremony was wonderful, The Knot Italy had ensured that every detail was perfect. The aisle was adorned with colourful blooms that matched Cristina’s elegant bouquet, right down to the lace that carefully tied the flowers together. When Cristina and James had their first kiss as husband and wife, there was a loud cheer of happiness that echoed in the church and love illuminated across the couples faces.
The newlyweds and their guests headed to Belmond Caruso in Ravello for the reception. Welcomed with delicious champagne and canapes, the party had officially started and the atmosphere was electric. The tablescape was sensational, beautifully decorated with vases that overflowed with flowers and matching pastel pink candles that glistened in the moonlight. Dining alfresco, the couple and their guests were treated to a range of traditional delicacies, with a view of a golden Amalfi Coast sunset as their backdrop. The night was clear and the stars came out to twinkle above the party that was lively and joyous. Music filled the air and Cristina and James danced until their feet hurt. The night culminated with the cutting of the cake and everyone raised their glass in unison to the happy couple. As the evening drew in, Cristina and James reminisced about their perfect day surrounded by their favourite people and I could see this was the wedding that they had always dreamed of.
As the sun rose the following day, the newlyweds treated their guests to a boat party, kindly arranged through Veliero Tortuga. Cristina and James took a dip in the ocean that was warm and crystal clear. The DJ played songs as the guests continued the celebrations from the day before with dancing and toasting to love! The whole wedding party was enveloped in happiness, and it irradiated through their smiles.
Thank you to Cristina and James for allowing me to capture your fairytale wedding in Ravello.
