Just a short drive from the chaotic crowds of Positano, Praiano is a quiet fishing village that is renowned for its local charm and the sort of magic that you have to see to really believe it. It is here, within the realms of Casa Privata, that Georgette and Peter chose to celebrate their love story. Surrounded by enchanting gardens, a private beach and an intimate location, this really is a one-of-a-kind setting to say, ‘I Do’ on the Amalfi Coast.

The couple began their celebrations with a private boat party around the coastline, courtesy of Veliero Tortuga. They savoured every second of the Italian sunshine with their favourite people, soaking up the views and making the most of the on-board DJ. To cool off later in the day, everyone enjoyed a dip in the Mediterranean Sea. We took Georgette & Peter away from the party for a mini cruise in their own boat, documenting some seriously stylish couple portraits ahead of the big day.

It is rare that couples wake up to anything but sunshine on their wedding here on the Amalfi Coast, and Georgette and Peter’s wedding was certainly no exception. As the sun rose and the wonderful chaos began to unfold, I just knew that there was going to be something special about their day. Beautifully illustrated stationery set the scene for guests, offering a subtle glimpse for what was around the corner (and if you keep scrolling, you’ll see that their stationery was the perfect reflection of their venue styling).

The groom and his groomsmen looked incredibly handsome in classic black-tie attire, while the bridesmaids dazzled in an array of soft champagne and blush pink gowns. Our bride looked an utter vision (I was fortunate to capture the bridesmaids’ reactions to her aisle style reveal), wearing a sophisticated off-the-shoulder gown, statement bridal headband and traditional veil.

Georgette and Peter hosted a traditional religious church ceremony, where the architectural delights really did do all the talking in terms of décor. The vow exchange was incredibly emotional, further enhanced by the released of doves at the church entrance after they were officially married.

The newlyweds and their guests made their way back to Casa Privata for the wedding dinner and the transformation really was breathtaking. Round tables were adorned with bold blue candles and the most divine florals by Rosalinda Flowers Weddings Lab. The florist had carefully created a jaw-dropping canopy of foliage, flowers and twinkling lights to act as a ‘ceiling’ for their alfresco-style wedding reception.

While guests wined, dined and made memories, I escaped with the couple to capture some significant photographs with the sunset backdrop, snapping away as the sky effortlessly changed hues. Once we had completed our couple portraits, Georgette gracefully made an outfit change, enjoying the party in a stylish sequin feathered mini gown. As I watched their friends and family loving every second of their wedding day, I took a moment to capture the memories that really do mean the world.
