The magic of a Destination Wedding in Florence
Surrounded by the famous and evocative Tuscan hills, Florence is the capital of Italian art and culture par excellence.
Not surprisingly, Oksana and Matt, both lovers of art and culture, have chosen to get married right here, in the evocative setting of this wonderful Italian city.
The entire event took place at the Salviatino, a prestigious villa dating from the 1400’s located on the slopes of the Fiesole hills, with a spectacular view of beautiful Florence.
Immersed in the greenery of a wonderful park, surrounded by gardens, the villa boasts an interior of incredible elegance, with rooms and suites furnished in the style of the Renaissance canons.

The timeless charm of the Ojetti and Affresco suites
Both Oksana and Matt prepared for the wedding in the wonderful Salviatino suites that boast an original fusion of local craftsmanship and the latest technologies, providing every comfort available while preserving the warmth of the antique villa.
There is a spectacular view of the cathedral of Florence from the terrace of the Ojetti suite in which Oksana, in the company of her mother and bridesmaids, propared for the ceremony. Perfectly in keeping with the elegance of the bride, this suite contrasts the warm and rich colours of the bedroom , with the clean lines of the living room fitted with an original glass floor in where Oksana had her make-up and hair done.
Matt, for his part, prepared himself in the unique Affresco Suite where there is a magnificent fresco by Bruschi dated 1886 and two oil paintings attributed to the “Flemish”, ie the painter Gabriel Van Der Leeuw. This suite radiates all the charm of Renaissance art. It was very pleasant to capture some moments of Matt’s preparation in this charming room.

Ceremony and Dinner Outdoors
In the area in front of the villa, there are some wonderful gardens, where the green alternates with the gushing of the fountain with arches and flowerbeds.
In this area, in the frame of the tall cypress trees typical of the Tuscan setting, the religious ceremony took place with the participation of about 60 guests who shared with Oksana and Matt the joy of joining in marriage.
After the ceremony, there were affectionate greetings exchanged during the reception held in the gardens of the Villa.
With delicacy of pastel and gold tones of an elegant imperial table a romantic outdoor dinner took place on the large main terrace.
The delicate shades of pink and white flowers, the golden hues of the decorations that enriched the elegant imperial table and the warm light of the candles created a very intimate and emotive atmosphere in which, between words of affection, smiles and tears, the guests were able to taste the delicacies of a dinner of traditional flavours.
The Salviatino boasts a very rich organic vegetable garden dedicated to the cultivation of vegetables and spices, enriching the traditional recipes with genuine flavours.

A sensational after party in the library!
Ugo Ojetty, owner of the Villa since the 1911 until his death, was responsible for adding both the majestic Greenhouse Suite and the library, which was at that time regularly attended by celebrities such as Salvador Dalì and Gabriele D’Annunzio.
After cutting the cake, Oksana and Matt invited all the guests to the inside of such amazing library, transformed for the occasion into a sort of disco environment, complete with a stage from which the band could play the notes of the first dance and then draw everyone into an amazing dance.
